HOW TO ARRIVE TO THE CENTER OF PALERMO FROM THE AIRPORT

Palermo Falcone-Borsellino Airport (Punta Raisi) is about 35 kilometers away
from the city center and is well connected.
Besides the possibility of taking a rental car or a taxi
(the cost of the Punta Raisi airport / city center and vice versa is about € 40),
there are two cheaper solutions but still very comfortable: coach and shared taxi.
The coach service offered by the company Prestia and Comandè (www.prestiaecomande.it)
connects Falcone-Borsellino airport with the city center
and make several stops to the terminal Palermo Central Station,
so for those staying in the center it's convenient because it stops near the port (stop via E. Amari No. 5),
at the Politeama Theater (P.zza Ruggero Settimo n.18)
and in various stops in via Libertà, which is one of the main arteries of Palermo.
The service runs every 30 minutes from 4 am to midnight and takes about 50 minutes.
Tickets cost € 6.30 with a reduction to € 6 if you buy the ticket online.

Another solution is the shared taxi.
These 8-seater taxis take the same route as the coach with the same intermediate stops.
When you arrive at the airport it is easy to identify them (or be identified by taxi drivers who will offer you the service)
and the cost is slightly higher than the coach (€ 7 per person).
These last two alternatives are obviously the ones I recommend to those who want a cheaper solution,
obviously the choice of the personal taxi or the shared one or the coach also depends on where you are staying in the city.
Remember that Palermo is a very large city, so the stops will not always be close at hand.
